Lila’s Cave was created within a sandstone cave in the ‘driftless’ area of SW Wisconsin, a unique ancient seabed geography that was untouched by the last glacial period 10-12,000 years ago. From the ‘yoni’ cave opening a female figure emerges from and dissolves in the blackness. The Sanskrit ‘lila’ is the sacred play from which all things manifest (and the first name of the property owner on which the cave is found).
